Marko DeSantis is a music professional best known as the lead guitarist of pop-punk legends Sugarcult.
Sugarcult released three records spawning multi-platinum success with hit singles such as; "Bouncing Off the Walls", "Pretty Girl", and "Memory" since launching out of Santa Barbara, CA in 2001.
Sugarcult headlined their own tours; performed on the main stages of festivals; & were main support on tours with Green Day, Blink 182, and countless others.
He also plays in a side-project called Bad Astronaut (w/ Lagwagon frontman Joey Cape)
In past years, Marko played in bands such as The Ataris, Nerf Herder, Popsicko, Swingin Utters, etc.
As a special events DJ (& MC) Marko has played night clubs, festivals, art openings, product launches & private parties worldwide. From LA, Vegas, Seattle, Chicago & NYC all the way to London, Sydney, Cabo San Lucas, Moscow & Tokyo; and many more.
Unlike many DJs who are beholden to a single genre, Marko puts the vision of the occasion first & can move from modern to vintage, glitter to gutter, upbeat to downtempo; obscure/indie/funk/exotica; rock, punk, alternative, pop-punk/emo, folk/indie, garage rock, reggae, atmospheric, film score, dance/club/mashups/EDM, cocktail jazz/lounge, etc.
Marko is committed to curating & designing a unique sonic atmosphere that complements and elevates any experience.
